Semantic dataspaces and DataBri-X: SWC/Graphwise partner presents at SDS 2025
From 1–5 June 2025, the Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC 2025) took place in Portorož, Slovenia. As part of the conference, the Third International Workshop on Semantic Dataspaces (SDS 2025) provided a platform for discussions on the future of semantic interoperability in data spaces.
Our project partner SWC/Graphwise contributed to the workshop with a presentation titled “Federated Vocabulary Hubs as a Building Block for Semantic Layers in Data Spaces”, delivered by Robert David and Jan Pieter Wijbenga. The work reflects ongoing research and development on the semantization of data spaces and Digital Product Passports (DPPs), within the scope of both the UNDERPIN and DataBri-X projects.
The contribution highlights the importance of federated approaches to managing and aligning vocabularies across distributed environments, helping to enable scalable and trustworthy data exchange in line with emerging European data space initiatives.
