DataBri-X showcases research on trustworthy federated learning at the 15th IMDEA Networks Annual International Workshop
On 28 May 2025 the 15th IMDEA Networks Annual International Workshop convened global experts, researchers, and alumni to explore the latest breakthroughs in 5G, 6G, and next-generation wireless communications. Among the highlights of this vibrant scientific exchange was DataBri-X’s contribution through a poster presentation by Devriş İşler.
Poster Title: FedPoP: Federated Learning Meets Proof of Participation
The presented work introduced FedPoP, a novel framework that integrates federated learning with privacy-preserving, auditable proof of participation, achieved without relying on public ledgers or intensive computation. This innovative approach reflects DataBri-X’s core mission to build trustworthy, FAIR, and privacy-aware data infrastructures.
By embedding principles of data ownership and data provenance into federated AI systems, FedPoP ensures that contributors are both recognized and protected, demonstrating that privacy and accountability can go hand-in-hand in decentralized machine learning environments.
We extend our sincere thanks to the IMDEA Networks Institute for hosting this inspiring and impactful event, and congratulate Devriş İşler for an excellent representation of DataBri-X’s cutting-edge research.
