DataBri-X cited in academic research on urban digital twins and federated data spaces
The DataBri-X project has been recognized in academic research as a key contributor to advancing data sharing and interoperability within European Data Spaces. The recent paper titled “Redefining Urban Digital Twins for the Federated Data Spaces Ecosystem: A Perspective” by Jorge Gil, Dessislava Petrova-Antonova, and Graham JL Kemp cites DataBri-X as a notable initiative providing innovative solutions in this domain.
The study explores the evolving landscape of Urban Digital Twins (UDTs) and the role of federated data structures in enabling more efficient and scalable data sharing ecosystems. It highlights the DataBri-X consortium’s work in developing a toolbox of practical, robust, and scalable ‘bricks’, including processes, technologies, and tools that facilitate seamless integration within European Data Spaces.
Through its research and technological advancements, DataBri-X is helping to bridge gaps in interoperability, data governance, and technical infrastructure, ensuring that urban digital twins and other data-intensive applications can benefit from a secure and federated data-sharing environment.
